Part 3. DIY Cream for Ultra Sensitive Skin

If you’re searching for a DIY cream for ultra sensitive skin, you’re in the right place. This gentle, natural formula was created to soothe eczema-prone, reactive skin—especially when nothing else works.

 In Case You Missed It:

Part 1 explained why extremely sensitive or reactive skin often can’t tolerate even “clean” or “hypoallergenic” products.
Part 2 explored how most commercial creams—though gentle on the surface—contain preservatives, emulsifiers, or stabilizers that can still irritate fragile skin or disrupt the skin microbiome.

If those posts resonated with you, then you already know:
When your skin says “no” to everything, sometimes the only way forward is to make something yourself with full control and no hidden ingredients.

Why I Created This Formula

If you or someone you love has extremely dry, reactive, or eczema-prone skin, I understand deeply because I’ve lived it.
My baby had severely sensitive skin from birth. His eczema flared up frequently, and even the most trusted creams failed to keep his skin hydrated for long. I was determined not to use steroid creams because of their harmful side effects.

I followed all the treatments our dermatologist recommended.
Aquaphor/ Eucerin Eczema Cream dried out in 30 minutes.
Badger Balm and natural oils didn’t help.
Only Bayer’s Bepanthen gave short-term relief from itching.

Out of desperation and love I decided to create something better.
That blend of safety, hydration, and lasting relief became the formula for what is now HUNYULE Ultra Soothing Cream.

DIY Soothing Barrier Cream (Refrigerated Formula)

This is the early recipe I used at home. It’s gentle, simple, and safe perfect for extremely sensitive skin. You must refrigerate and use it within 2 months.

Why This DIY Cream Works for Ultra Sensitive Skin:

• Hydrates without irritation
• Prevents moisture loss (TEWL)
• Calms itching and redness

 Instructions (Easy DIY Version):

  1. Measure the oils, wax, lecithin, and Olivem 1000 into a heat-safe glass bowl.
  2. Melt the mixture gently using a double boiler.
  3. Bring the filtered water to boil separately.
  4. Let the water cool slightly, then slowly blend it into the oil phase using a hand mixer or frother.
  5. As you continue mixing, the texture will change from a liquid to a creamy consistency. Once it turns into cream, keep mixing for at least 10 more minutes to ensure a smooth emulsion.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to below 104°F (40°C).
  7. Stir in the remaining ingredients, including panthenol, botanical extracts, and preservatives.
  8. Transfer to a clean, sterilized glass jar and store in the refrigerator. Use within 2 months.

⚠️ Note: Always check ingredient compatibility with your own allergies.
I used tea tree oil to help prevent fungal infections for my baby, but if you have extremely sensitive skin, you may want to leave it out.
However, the high concentration of Vitamin B5 in this formula provides powerful soothing and skin-repairing benefits for most skin types.
